I once read that every 11 years our bodies are made completely new, slowly transforming as old cells die & new ones take their place... may it also be with my soul: continually sloughing off all that is passing away, and being transformed into the newness of life...

Ashley Star Hoffart, Reporting Live

Hey there everyone!
Sorry that I haven't written in so long... it's been a busy few months, as you can imagine! Wedding Showers, Final Exams, Christmas Parties, Christmas, Bachelorette Party, Wedding (!!!), New Years, Honeymoon, and a new semester... that's now almost gone. All that stress and excitement, and now a little one on the way! Just kidding. We're not pregnant. But people ask so often, I thought I'd just have a little fun with you. My computer actually just recently blew itself up, so I'm writing on Nathan's laptop, which I am not used to, and which does not have my pictures on it (I'm sorry! I'll post some soon!). So I'll have to write a better update later. But I will at least fill you in on what I'm doing now. Nathan moved in with me after the wedding (my roomate moved out), and we've both been going to school at Langara. He took a semester out of Studio 58 (the acting program) to think about what he really wants to do and has been taking French and business classes and Linguistics and loves all of it. I've been finishing up my Social Service Work diploma- just two more weeks of classes, exams, and a five week practicum to go. Then what? We really don't know. We were really hoping to find someone to sub-let our place furnished for the summer, so that we could get out of the city for a couple months- if you're interested or know someone trustworthy who is interested, let me know! Nathan was thinking of fishing, but so far that hasn't come through. I need to have a little flexibility for some friends weddings, (Hi Kait! Hi Rosie! Hi Alexis!) So whatever that means. Basically, we totally don't know what we're doing for the summer! Being married is great. I love having Nathan around all the time, and sharing a house has not been as stressful as all those naysayers out there like to pretend. I've had WAY more annoying roomies! Just kidding, girls. you know I love you all.
Anyway, I'd better get going. I'll post a much more exciting flashback episode when my computer is fixed, kay? Lots of love to you all. I miss you all a bunch.
xoxo

You're back! So good to hear/read you again. I hope school improved even a little bit over this last while. I'm so jealous of your "almost-done-ness". I sure hope you make your way out to Alberta at some point over the summer. I'm coming out to the coast in the middle of April (13th-ish) so I just might have to haul you (and your other half) out to your local Vancouver global-domination, uber evil-corporation: Starbucks (or something like that). :o)
Talk to you later Ash. rj

Also, please don't end up insane or imprisoned. Social-justice-nerd is cool. Social-justice-madwoman is not so cool. I think your type of nerd thinks pacifism is cool too, so you can maybe try your hand at that. ;o)

ASHLEY STAR!!!!!

how I have missed you!!!!
PLEASE PHONE ME AT EASTER WEEKEND because I miss you very much and want to talk to you, but I don't have your number!!!
I am SO GLAD you're back on the blog scene, because I've missed that, too.
I've got a few more weeks of practicum and then I, too, will be done this thing called school. Except for that I'll spend the rest of my working career in a school. hmm.
okay. love you lots. and lots.

Hello again!

In response to your inquiry... Peter is my steady flame. :o) :o) :o) He's actually who I'm going out to Vancouver with, so you'll most likely get to meet him! I'll give you a call... probably closer to the weekend. We should be out there Sat afternoon and Sunday.

Love and love!

Ashley!

Hey girl! It's AWESOME to hear from ya! Glad to hear that life for the most part is going really really well! That's so awesome how happy you are. Don't worry, God will totally take care of the job situation. :) I know this for a fact!

As for the weddings, I can relate in soooooo many ways. Haha I have wedding number 6 that I just received an invite for. And they are all within about 2 weeks of each other. LOL Anyway, it's kinda crazy how we seem to be at that stage of our lives huh? Seems like just the other day, we were in Cabin K laughing at Arian running around in her ginch. LOL Man, those were the days.

Anyway, enough of that! I'm glad everything is going so well for you! I love you lots and even though I don't write much, I do love hearing from you! Take care and God bless you sweetheart!

Love,
Christina Rae Squarepants. ;)

Of course! Of course I check and check and check your blog faithfully for months and the one week I leave it alone, you not only update, but also get a new (and lovely) template. I guess the watched blog never updates, eh? Although, I guess I can't talk because I haven't updated in a really really long time

It's so good to hear the news from you (some old, some new). I didn't know Kait was getting married this summer too! That's exciting! Also exciting that you'll likely be in Courtenay for the summer. I'm hoping to head to the island after school ends at the end of June. Any chance that you'll be able to get that job at the CRA again? And Nathan could get chosen to work for the School District?

I will call you again, soon. Maybe this weekend. Maybe in a few minutes...we will see!

love (for you) love (for Nathan) love (for the little one...haha)
